Sweet Smell Of Success
In early 2020 we teamed up with an awesome force in digital marketing, Tidal Digital. Business was going well, but we needed to ramp up the figures to compete with the bigger fish in the pond.
Competition is hot on the world-wide-web, and we knew how we positioned ourselves within the market would hold the key to success. We opened talks with a small handful of digital marketers, and Tidal won our hearts.
Working closely with them, strategies were devised for how best to get our brand and products out there. Scouring through analytical data from the industry, plans were laid bare and our collaborative campaign, The Sweet Smell of Success was born.
When the pandemic hit just two months later, the investment really paid off. Circumnavigating a world now reliant on the internet for the majority of its shopping needs, we found ourselves in a really strong position.
So strong in fact, we were able to ramp up our marketing spends considerably. Casting our net further and wider, catching more of the market and establishing ourselves among the biggest retailers in the industry.
This brings us round to last week. At the Global Ecommerce Awards, we took home Global B2C eCommerce Website of the Year! Recognition at an international scale for all the hard work we’ve put in really brings home the achievements of the last year and a half.
As the world faced uncertainty in much of its day-to-day operations, we came out smelling of roses. Roses and that sweet smell of success we had originally envisioned.
With all that in mind, we’d like to raise a glass to Tidal Digital for their ongoing work. But also, and more importantly, to the team behind the scenes here at Perfume Direct for working tirelessly to deliver an award-winning enterprise.
